Job Summary:

As a member of the CCS DIM ANI Team, the selected individual will participate and/or provide leadership in process of application performance baselining and troubleshooting cases, providing support to the application and other infrastructure support teams. Primary areas of focus include deep understanding of TCP/IP (TCP Handshake), Quality of Service, VPN/Security (SSL Handshake), network capacity planning, and proactive network health and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

Network/Application Performance Engineer expectations have been defined in following general categories:

Team Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior members of the Application Network Integration team
  • Participate in discussions with other ISA organizations regarding application and network performance management requirements

Technology Application

  • Establish expertise in several of the functional areas of network performance and application delivery solutions and services and develop a working knowledge of the remaining functional areas
  • Awareness of existing industry trends and vendor product offerings
  • Research, test, evaluate and document appropriate network and application performance solutions and services
  • Provide advanced application/network performance and network impact analysis

Program and Project Management

  • Provide expertise in projects related to application and network performance management (SME role)
  • Assist other CCS organizations with cost estimates for project and engagement solutions, as required

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Participate in periodic vendor briefings to maintain a working knowledge of relevant industry and vendor directions

Effective Communication

  • Develop presentations, customer memorandums, and other communications to effectively represent ANI direction and vision across CCS, Accenture CIO, and related client engagements
  • Develop application and network performance management related standards and documentation, user guides etc.
  • Participate in deliberations with internal project teams and external entities such as external customer and service providers
  • Contribute to knowledge capital (job aids, templates, methodologies, toolsets, presentation, etc.) related to the concepts of network and application performance management areas

Operational Support

  • Provide level 3 support (in terms of ITIL) for network and application performance troubleshooting incidents 
  • Perform application and network testing to narrow down the issue causing slow performance/errors
  • Provide input into the creation of systems management and maintenance tools required to effectively and securely manage the network performance and application delivery infrastructure.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Equivalent experience to the above

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Coding skills: Python, Matlab
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of OSI model and protocols stack. Special awareness to L3/L4 and L7
  • Basic knowledge of network tools like Wireshark, HTTPWatch, NetPrifiler etc.
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in leading projects with introduction large deployment projects
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies quickly
  • CCNA or CCNA level knowledge
