For many persons with disabilities, employment opportunities are scarce. But according to Paul Clayton, analyst—Geographic Services, that’s not the case at Accenture.
“From the outset, I’ve been impressed with Accenture’s positive approach as they tried to concentrate on what skills I could offer as opposed to seeing my visual impairment as a barrier, and this support has been continuous over the years,” he says.
Like Paul, we all have different needs and requirements to get our day’s work done. For him, Braille software and a Braille embosser to read and produce documents are tools of the trade in his role providing administrative support to the UK/Ireland team. A mobile phone with speech software enables him to easily access contacts and scanning software gives him access to printed materials while on the move.
