SharePoint Application Support Manager

- Job description

• Lead solution design, prototyping, development, and deployment of technical solutions to complex business requirements
     • Evaluate requests for enhancements and advice users on options, risks and impacts on processes or systems as well as business process improvements
     • Support the application by acting as a subject matter expert and leading the application development team through the entire systems development lifecycle
     • Gather requirements, analyze business needs, develop technical specifications, and define conversion requirements working with stakeholders
     • Analyze and troubleshoot complex system and user issues (Data, Code, Performance, Security, etc.), identify root cause and coordinate resolution efforts across peer support groups, technical support teams, and vendors as needed
     • Manage a team of onshore and offshore developers developing and supporting the application
     • Assist users in fully integrating the SharePoint applications into their current business environments and provide input on best practices
     • Work on technical design, perform necessary coding and test programs, systems, interfaces and reports
     • Work with external vendors and internal clients to develop interfaces
     • Create development patterns, standards and plans
     • Produce clear and concise technical documentation and thoroughly document system changes
     • Assist project managers with planning of technical phases of project and estimating time needed for technical tasks
     • Implement environment & migration strategy
     • Create roadmaps for the application
     • Act as liaison and facilitate continuity between infrastructure support and application development teams
     • Collaborate with software vendors to ensure appropriate prioritization and timeliness of resolution for product defects
     • Participate in code and design reviews and technical presentations to cross functional teams
     • Train/Mentor junior resources
    
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other technically relevant degree
     - Minimum of 8 years technical subject matter experience with SharePoint implementation, upgrades, application development and support
     - Minimum of 8 years expert knowledge and experience developing solutions using SharePoint tools and technologies
     - Solid SharePoint experience, P3 or P4, and extensive knowledge of SharePoint Architecture
     - Development background on CSS, .NET, HTML and WSP release packages
     - Must have advanced understanding of the following
     a. Content Types, Metadata, JavaScript, SharePoint Search, lists, libraries, user profiles, CAML Query, SharePoint Security and master pages
     b. SharePoint Administration and Configuration capabilities to maintain and support SharePoint environments. Should be able to work on Event Receivers and workflows with little or no support
     c. Microsoft best practices and SharePoint best practices for development
     d. SQL knowledge to be able to create, maintain, support moderate to complex queries and reports. Must be able to support a SQL server instance in the development environment
     - Experience in producing complete technical solutions using Visual Studio
     - Extensive experience in creating detailed solution design documents for presentation to the business and for the team to be able to use for development
     - Must have worked with either SharePoint 2007, 2010 and 2013
     - Vast experience in leading teams
