Power BI Engineer
A Power BI Engineer is a data specialist who leverages Microsoft’s Power BI platform to develop data-driven solutions that support business intelligence and strategic decision-making. This role involves transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights through interactive dashboards and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Modeling & Analysis
Design and build data models that align with business requirements.
Use DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create efficient, scalable models.
Convert raw data into meaningful visualizations that support data-driven decisions.
Visualization & Reporting
Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
Present trends, patterns, and key insights in a visually compelling and user-friendly format.
Data Integration & Transformation
Connect to various data sources and use Power Query to extract, transform, and load data.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reports and dashboards.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
Communicate complex data insights in a clear and accessible manner to non-technical audiences.
Qualifications & Skills
2 or more years experience in data-focused roles.
Data Modeling: Familiar with Star and Snowflake schema models.
DAX & Power Query: Strong command of DAX and Power Query for data modeling and transformation.
Integration: Familiarity with integrating Power BI with Azure services such as Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric items
Documentation: Skilled in documenting data flows, source-to-target mappings, and data dictionaries.
Flexible to report onsite at any of Manila office locations: Alabang, BGC, Cubao and Mandaluyong City
