Stories Senior Analyst
Job Summary:
The Pursuit & Reputation Marketing Stories Team is seeking to hire a story specialist to provide program management support for Mid-Market Stories Program Pillar and Story Leads. This role entails managing multiple workstreams related to story development, management and both internal and external promotion, inclusive of story identification and selection, brand program management, data and metrics collection and reporting, assist with communications and story promotion, editorial calendar management, and assist with our central Stories repository (The Story Gallery). It will also include general editing and assistance with writing
The story specialist will be a part of a growing global team based in Pursuit & Reputation Marketing, working with client account teams, marketing professionals, and business leaders across Microsoft and Accenture to identify, support and promote our top Microsoft stories both internally and externally across a wide range of marketing channels, including advertising/paid media, social media, major brand moments/events, the Foresight app, thought leadership, the Stories portal page, Good Morning Accenture and Viva Engage
The Story Specialist should possess a combination of strong English-language (comprehension, verbal and written) skills, as well as a strong attention for detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams. This role works with a variety of levels including high-level stakeholders (including Accenture leadership) and will require the ability to identify and recommend stories for incoming requests – from awards and paid media to client sales support and events, analyst reports, thought leadership and internal communications. They will support project management activities for our advertising-related campaigns as well as support promotion plans for stories. Assistance with tools as well as helping to review story content will also be part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Under the direction of a Stories pillar lead, the story specialist will: Collaborate with client account teams, story development and editorial leads, writers, and marketers on the strategic positioning, execution, and promotion of our best stories. Assist with the planning and coordination of multiple activities including advertising, paid media, and organic social. Identify relevant contextual moments to promote specific stories. Participate in story interviews to begin learning about work and how our account leads talk about it. Identify relevant stories to substantiate advertising copy.
• Assist with the identification and prioritization of our best stories to be featured on accenture.com and on the Accenture/Microsoft Solutions Showcase in the Foresight app, working closely with our digital strategist.
• Support data reviews to help story leads determine ways to optimize or retire stories
• Accenture is a global company, and the story lead will need to work across time zones and with people from dozens of countries, working in English but notably with many non-native English speakers. Requires an awareness of cultural differences and working styles. Will also need to work with the tools used to collect, maintain, and disseminate stories. Will need to operate effectively in a follow-the-sun model across global time zones to meet critical deadlines.
• Draft copy for a wide array of communications needs, such as emails to CALs/senior leadership, GMA and Viva Engage post copy, newsletter content, etc.
• Represent the Stories team on key and recurring internal calls/meetings including identifying and presenting relevant topics/updates to share with each audience.
• Work with the Stories team leadership to develop a systemized approach for capturing, consistently tracking and sharing key Stories Team metrics and successes in an engaging, relevant way.
Skills and Qualifications:
Must Have:
• Three or more years’ experience as supporting strategic programs.
• Experience writing/editing for digital channels is an advantage.
• Experience in advertising is an advantage.
• Experience with research is an advantage.
