Underwriting Quality Engineer

Job Description
THE WORK:
- Analyze given requirements and come up with applicable test scenarios and or test scripts
- Timely execution of test conditions or test scripts in accordance with given test conditions
- Accurate and timely reporting of test progress, risks and issues
- Document results of test performed during the testing phase of the project
- Report bugs accurately, concisely, and provide timely follow up to resolution
- Able to work independently and control/ manage own daily test activities
- Support the test lead to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Provide accurate and timely analysis on production issues that may arise in AUS and ALIP systems
- Work with Test Lead and be able to create own test conditions based on simple changes to AUS Rules Designer software and occasionally also ALIP, ARIA, and Data Integration Layer (DIL)
Qualifications
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Previous Life Underwriting/New Business background is strongly preferred.
- Previous QA analyst experience recommended, but not required.
- Candidate should be highly analytical and be a logical thinker
- Candidate should have strong communication skills
- Candidate should be a team player; willing to collaborate with colleagues/teammates
- Solid planning organizational skills including time-management, prioritization and attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Minimum 2 year(s) of experience is required
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Previous experience with automation testing tools is desirable, but not required
