Position Overview:

As an Inclusion & Diversity Specialist at Accenture Australia, you will play a vital role in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. Your mission will be to champion diversity and promote an environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. By collaborating with various teams and stakeholders, you will develop and execute strategies that drive meaningful change and ensure that diversity and inclusion are at the core of all business practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Diversity & Inclusion Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and HR teams to create and implement a comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy tailored to Accenture's Australian operations.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of the current state of diversity and inclusion within the organization, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Set measurable goals and targets for improving diversity and inclusion metrics and regularly track progress.

Employee Engagement and Education:

  • Design and deliver educational programs and workshops that raise awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion issues for all employees.
  • Collaborate with learning and development teams to integrate diversity and inclusion content into existing training programs.
  • Develop initiatives to foster an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity, such as Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and mentorship programs.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to establish inclusive recruitment practices that attract diverse talent from various backgrounds and communities.
  • Work to minimize unconscious biases in the hiring process and ensure a fair and inclusive candidate experience.

Diversity Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Gather and analyse diversity data to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for leadership to communicate diversity and inclusion outcomes, opportunities, and challenges.

External Partnerships and Community Engagement:

  • Build relationships with external diversity and inclusion organizations, networks, and community groups to collaborate on initiatives and share best practices.
  • Represent Accenture at diversity and inclusion events and conferences.

Diversity and Inclusion Advocacy:

  • Serve as a visible and vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion issues within the organization and the wider community.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diversity and inclusion principles into various business practices and projects.

Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Stay updated on relevant diversity and inclusion legislation and regulations in Australia.
  • Ensure Accenture's policies and practices align with legal requirements and best practices in diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in driving diversity and inclusion initiatives within a corporate environment.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of diversity and inclusion best practices and trends.
  • Strong analytical skills to collect and interpret data, as well as measure the impact of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Familiarity with Australian diversity and inclusion regulations and cultural dynamics is an advantage.
