Job Responsibilities:
Ideal candidates should possess extensive experience and in-depth technical expertise in Operating Systems, and infrastructure, ideally with a focus on Google Cloud Platform. They should have a strong background as a SysAdmin or similar roles, with knowledge of cloud technologies, infrastructure, and networking, coupled with extensive experience in compute technologies and proficiency in Linux and/or Windows environments.
Technical Skills:
● Compute: Demonstrates a deep understanding of compute concepts, including virtualization,
operating systems, system administration, performance, networking, and troubleshooting.
● GCP Proficiency: Experience with GCP core services, particularly Compute Engine, IAM,
Networking (VPC, Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancing), Storage (Cloud Storage, Persistent Disk),
and related services within the compute domain.
● Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) system
administration. Experience with Windows Server administration is a plus.
● Security: Solid understanding of security best practices for securing compute resources in cloud
environments, including IAM implementation, access control, vulnerability management, and
protection against unauthorized access and data exfiltration.
● Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring tools for troubleshooting and performance
analysis.
● Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for system
administration, automation, and API interaction. Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform,
Ansible, Jenkins, Cloud Build) is essential
● Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP,
routing, load balancing) and experience troubleshooting network issues.
● Web Technologies: Familiarity with web technologies and protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs,
SSL/TLS) and experience troubleshooting web application issues.
● Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify
and resolve complex technical issues.
● Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to
effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical

Qualifications
Qualifications:
● Broad IT Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT, including infrastructure, security, networking,
backup, storage, and/or virtualization.
● Troubleshooting Experience: 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and
resolving complex issues.
● Support Experience: Familiarity with support methodologies, case lifecycles, and analytical skills
for breaking down issues.
Certifications:
While no specific certifications are required for this role, demonstrating a commitment to professional
development is highly valued. The following certifications are considered a plus:
● Operating Systems: Certifications related to Linux (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, LFCS) or Windows
(e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are a positive indicator of foundational system administration skills.
● Cloud Computing: Any cloud-related certifications are beneficial, with Google Cloud Platform
certifications being particularly relevant. The Google Cloud Certified Professional certifications
(e.g., Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer) are highly desired, while the Google Cloud
Certified Associate Cloud Engineer certification is also a valuable asset.
