Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.
Summary: As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. Your typical day will involve working with Cobol Mainframe, utilizing your expertise in Mainframes to develop and maintain applications. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Develop and maintain applications using Cobol Mainframe. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements. - Design, code, test, and debug software applications. - Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and issues. - Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. - Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends. - Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Cobol Mainframe. - Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC). - Experience in working with Mainframe tools and technologies. - Knowledge of database management systems and SQL. - Experience in troubleshooting and debugging applications. - Familiarity with version control systems and code repositories. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe. - This position is based in Manila. Minimum 2 year(s) of experience is required
