The work:
As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. Your typical day will involve managing and maintaining databases, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing database performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Manage and maintain databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Implement security measures to protect the database from unauthorized access.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Database Administration, primarily on Oracle.
- Strong understanding of other database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres and DB2.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of databases.
- Knowledge of database security and backup procedures.
- Familiarity with database design principles and normalization.
- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Database Administration.
- This position is based in Manila.
