Infrastructure Engineer

Job Title: Cloud Design, Build, and Architecture Engineer (ML 11 - ML10) Position Title: Cloud Design, Build, and Architecture (ML 11 - ML 10) Experience Level: 1-5 Years Group: Cloud Migration Factory (CMF) The role involves a variety of key responsibilities centered around cloud solution design, build, and implementation. The professional will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable cloud solutions, ensuring the design of cloud architectures meets performance, security, and availability standards. They will create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design specifications. In the cloud build and implementation phase, the role requires deploying and configuring cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS) on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and automating cloud deployment processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. The professional will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services, implement and manage disaster recovery and backup plans, and ensure cloud environments are secure, optimized, and compliant with best practices. Regarding cloud architecture, the professional will develop and maintain standards and best practices, conduct regular assessments and reviews of cloud architecture to meet evolving business needs, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Collaboration and communication are crucial, requiring close work with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to deliver cloud solutions. Effective communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure project goals and expectations are met is essential, along with staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies. The qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 1-5 years of experience in cloud design, build, and architecture. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), proficiency in cloud automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation), and a solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements. Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Preferred certifications include Cloud Foundation and Associate Certification (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Minimum 2 year(s) of experience is required
