Software Development Engineer

Overview: A senior software engineer will be involved in managing and architecting the development of key business features for the Stack products. They will participate in all levels of the software development lifecycle, including planning and design, build and testing. A senior software engineer is expected to review code from pull requests, manage junior team members, and ensure they can meet their task deadlines, train and upskill new team members and find and deliver business value for the company. Duties & Responsibilities: • Strives to write clean, readable, and maintainable code • Enforce and maintain best development practices • Clarify and understand requirements for a solution, maintaining constant communications for feedback to ensure that the requirements are met • Manage and train junior members, ensuring they have the relevant skills to tackle their work • Ability to research and self-learn • Working within agile framework, including participating in stand-ups, maintaining workflow through Jira • Ensure an understanding of the Stack Git workflow, including branching strategies Skills Required: • Intermediate python experience for back-end development • Intermediate experience with Linux • Intermediate knowledge of Splunk • Intermediate experience with bash scripting • Beginner experience with HTML, CSS, and JS for front-end development • Comprehensive knowledge of Git • Communication and team management skills Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required
