The work:
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks. Your typical day will involve working with routers, switches, firewalls, and other network-related hardware and software to ensure network performance and security.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and virtual private networks (VPNs), ensuring network performance and security.
- Configure and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network-related devices.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues, identifying and resolving network-related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, system administrators, and security professionals, to ensure network compatibility and interoperability.
Qualifications
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Network Engineering.
- Additional Must To Have Skills: Experience with Cisco networking equipment.
- Additional Good To Have Skills: Knowledge of network security protocols and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
- Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark and Nagios.
- Solid grasp of network design principles, including network topology, capacity planning, and network segmentation.
- CISCO UMBRELLA
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in Network Engineering.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful network solutions.
- This position is based at our Manila office.
