Job Responsibilities:
A highly motivated and experienced DevOps Support Engineer with a proven track record in IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, and cloud computing is sought. Possessing deep technical skills across compute, GCP, monitoring, logging, and automation, this candidate excels at resolving complex issues and ensuring system stability. Proficient in data analysis and visualization, they effectively communicate technical insights to diverse audiences.

Technical Skills:
● Compute: Deep understanding of compute concepts, including virtualization, operating systems,
system administration, performance optimization, networking, and troubleshooting.
● GCP Expertise: Strong knowledge of GCP core services, including Compute Engine, IAM,
Networking (VPC, Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancing), Storage (Cloud Storage, Persistent Disk),
and other areas related to the compute space.
● Monitoring and Logging: Extensive experience with cloud monitoring tools, ideally GCP Cloud
Logging and Monitoring, and familiarity with other industry solutions like Grafana, Prometheus,
Splunk, and/or others.
● Statistics: Understanding of descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode, standard deviation,
percentiles). Ability to interpret data distributions and identify outliers. Experience with time-series
analysis techniques (e.g., moving averages, exponential smoothing).
● Data Visualization: Proficiency working with visualizations (e.g., line charts, bar charts,
heatmaps) to represent system performance data. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g.,
Grafana, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker). Ability to communicate complex data insights
effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
● Operating Systems: Strong proficiency with Linux environments (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
Experience with Windows environments is a plus.
● Scripting & Automation: Experience with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for
configuration, troubleshooting, and automation. Understanding of API interaction and data
manipulation.
● DevOps & Automation: Experience with automation and DevOps concepts (CI/CD, IaC) and
tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy).
● Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP,
routing, load balancing, firewalls).
● Web Technologies: Familiarity with web technologies and troubleshooting (HTTP/HTTPS, REST,
SSL, Web Servers).
● Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to
work effectively in a team environment.
 


Job Qualifications
● Broad IT Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT, including infrastructure, security, networking,
backup, storage, and/or virtualization.
● Troubleshooting Experience: 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and
resolving complex issues.
● Support Experience: Familiarity with support methodologies, case lifecycles, and analytical skills
for breaking down issues.
Certifications:
While no specific certifications are required for this role, demonstrating a commitment to professional
development is highly valued. The following certifications are considered a plus:
● Observability: Certifications and or training related to Monitoring (e.g., PCA, Splunk) or
cloud-native technologies (CKA, CNAD) are a positive indicator of understanding observability
principles and best practices.
● Cloud Computing: Any cloud-related certifications are beneficial, with Google Cloud Platform
certifications being particularly relevant. The Google Cloud Certified Professional certifications
(e.g., Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer) are highly desired, while the Google Cloud
Certified Associate Cloud Engineer certification is also a valuable asset
