Position Title: Health and Wellness Senior Analyst
Provide direction and support to employees regarding the implementation and ongoing operation of occupational health, safety, employee work attendance, and related programs. May have responsibilities related to employee health claims, workers' compensation and disability issues. Organize and manage internal communications. Collaborate with Marketing & Communications team and other relevant stakeholders in promoting Health and Wellness programs.
• Contribute to the implementation of a variety of corporate health and safety initiatives by conducting research and preparing reports on change opportunities, developing and conducting presentations, training or orientation sessions, monitoring implementation results and providing remedial assistance, and working with consultants or seconded staff in order to maximize attendance at work, promote a healthy workplace, and minimize the incidence and duration of short and long term disability claims
• Provide clients with a robust Safety Consultancy service, delivering products that are maintained to reflect benchmark standards and legislative requirements, i.e., Strategy, Policy and Process, Risk Assessment & Management, Monitoring & Audit, Legislation & Enforcement Liaison, Accident & Incident Management and Key Business Facing Products
• Implement, monitor and report on Health, Safety and Wellness programs and related policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with company and government requirements
• Where applicable, monitor workers' compensation claims to ensure that funding criteria are met. Identify and dispute inappropriate claims. May provide technical direction to staff regarding claims processing and reporting and may manage technical/clerical employees involved in analysis and summary reporting of health and safety-related claims
Graduate of any 4 year course Project Management Good written and verbal communication Medical and/or health insurance background (if possible)
