The Position:
The core purpose of “SynOps for Marketing” is to enable AIO’s service delivery model.  The “enablement” of the service delivery model means the manner in which we create the ability for Accenture to organize our talent into roles and align these roles into teams, leveraging data and insights, that can perform business processes in a way that optimizes these business processes for our clients.  The orchestration of work, from our clients, across our teams, and back into the systems or to the client stakeholders where the business processes have impact, is the core purpose of SynOps for Marketing.
The Head of Platform role is the lead role in ensuring that AIO is developing an operating system (SynOps) that is enabling the optimal delivery model for the portfolio of services that AIO is taking to market.  Beginning in Q1 FY19 the focus on delivery model enablement will be on content (asset) creation services and CRM campaign activation services.  The initial focus on this role will be to develop a roadmap for the client experience layer (CxL) and the core process management layer for “SynOps for Marketing”.  In the future, this role will collaborate with the Data Platform lead to integrate the functional use cases of for content and campaign analytics into SynOps for Marketing, and eventually SynOps for marketing will expand to encompass the advertising activation processes of dynamic content optimization, and paid media activation across programmatic, paid search, and paid social.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own, manage and execute against the process management components of the SynOps for Marketing roadmap
  • Work closely with global/regional delivery leaders to inform and shape the roadmap for SynOps
  • Create, manage, and lead a client innovation network that will shape and guide the roadmap for the SynOps client experience layer for our clients
  • Collaborate and leverage (where appropriate) leading capabilities to bring leading experiences (powered by artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, robotics, etc.) to create differentiated and insightful experiences for our clients and Accenture employees as end users of SynOps for Marketing
  • Lead and manage a team of product leads, architects, and the “development factory” to meet SynOps release commitments
  • Develop, own, and manage the mobilization and client/team onboarding functions to scaleably support the growth of the business
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop collateral that positions SynOps for Marketing in a differentiated manner in the market
  • Develop and maintain key partnerships and commercial structures with select ecosystems partners (technology component providers) that will enable components of the SynOps for Marketing operating system
  • Ensure SynOps security and compliance standards are in line with Accenture CDP policies
  • Collaborate with Tech for Operations to ensure that the core product management and dev ops teams are using best practices
  • Development and management of a “delivery” end user community to guide future enhancements
  • Work with the solutioning community to ensure that cost recovery mechanisms are in place for all aspects of the SynOps for Marketing operating system
  • Annual MD&I and Load planning and ongoing budget management
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing teams of 15+ people
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product development and software development lifecycle management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology development related to the marketing function area (or a demonstrated history of rapid learning to adapt historical experiences to new domain area)
  • 8-10 years of working with or managing teams working with road map planning, product development, and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements, 20-25% when applicable
  • Track record of success in building and managing software development teams
  • Experience managing budgets and cost management
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of internal business stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively, in a matrix environment independently and multi-task
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
Professional Qualities:
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in self-directed learning activities, with an interest in continually developing and improving skills and knowledge
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Proficiency in Access, PowerPoint, and Word
