The Technical Support Engineer - DataPower resource will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and enhancements of all enterprise IBM DataPower components.  The resource will be part of a managed services team in the client’s Technology Operations Center performing Level 2 triage and troubleshooting activities, in addition to executing on approved requests and changes. Responsibilities include:
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Support and troubleshoot IBM DataPower appliances
  • Triage issues with SOA, Middleware, Messaging, API and Application services
  • Apply knowledge of Web Services, SOAP, REST, XML and XSLT
  • Perform administrative activities like installation of new appliances, upgrades, service migrations, HA configurations, and troubleshooting skills
  • On call to support operations in case of issues
  • Create and maintain system documentation
  • Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations
Basic Qualifications
  • 2 years' of IBM DataPower experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree
  • Knowledge of Java, J2EE, or .NET frameworks
  • Experience in IT operations and service management
