Having the right skills to open doors to meaningful, lasting employment or business ownership is critical. We launched Skills to Succeed in 2009 to address this need and to advance employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in markets around the world. By mobilizing our people, partners, clients and others, we strive to make a measurable and sustainable difference in the economic vitality and resilience of individuals, families and communities.
Together with our network of strategic partners, we plan to equip over 3 million people with the skills to get a job or build a business by the end of fiscal 2020. As a part of this, we will increase our focus on the successful transition of individuals from skill-building programs to sustainable jobs and businesses, and bring together more organizations across sectors to create large-scale, lasting solutions aimed at closing global unemployment gaps. To attain these goals and maximize the collective impact of our programs, we need to make the sharing of insights a core component of our global network of skilling practitioners. We seek to actively learn from one other (as a ‘learning practitioner network’) and build an evidence base of solutions that work to drive outcomes at scale. Our goal for this S2S learning practitioner network Insights & Learning site is to be an enabler for this collective learning process – to help us learn, connect, and innovate together.
