Key Responsibilities 

As a Workday Financials Functional Lead/Manager, you should expect to lead the deployment or part of the deployment of Workday Financials implementation and have the following responsibilities:  

  • Lead the conversations with the clients to gather, understand, and analyse business requirements during the implementation life cycle

  • Work with clients to share our Accenture and Workday best practices 

  • Provide subject matter support in helping clients making key business process decisions

  • Provide guidance and support to the Financials module leads

  • Manage the delivery of deployment/ part of the deployment of the Workday Financials solution

  • Understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements. 

  • Ownership of the Workday deliverables and provide regular project updates to the client in governance meetings.

  • Participate in Workday certification and update training and other events that help share one’s product skills with other consultants.

  • Mentor junior resources 

Your skills and Qualifications: 

  • Previous Financials consulting or implementation experience 

  • Successfully completed at least 2-3 end-to-end Financials implementations  

  • Led one or multiple Financials functional areas, including experience in defining how multiple Financials modules work together.  

  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal 

  • Stakeholder management

  • Existing and current Workday Financials Certifications preferred 

Additional preferred attributes: 

  • Ability and willingness to travel to meet project needs within COVID guidelines 

  • Implementing Workday Financials with a certified Workday implementation partner

  • Experience with pre-sale and sales activities 

  • Multiple Workday certifications 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Workday implementations (either as a customer or an implementation partner)

Preference will go to candidates based in New Zealand with current Working Rights.

Visa Sponsorship Transfer may be available for candidates already based in New Zealand.
