We’re looking to hear from those of you with solid SAP experience (see below for specialisations needed) – gained either from being a SAP Consultant or a SAP SME/ Super User within an end-user business. And the best part – if you don’t yet have experience with the latest versions of S/4 HANA, then we will train you!

Implementation Consultants vs Support Consultants – what’s the difference?

We have two types of consulting teams at Zag – Project Implementation and Support – both work directly with our Customers.  They work closely together – one team is not deemed any more senior than the other, people don’t start in Support just to get a foot in the door to Implementations – each team has different strengths and adds different value. And because of that, we look for different types of people for each team.

Implementation Consultants usually work on 1 or 2 customers at a time to implement a SAP solution - once they have competed the implementation, they go on to the next project with the next customer.  From time to time, they need to be able to travel to other locations and cities in New Zealand as many of our customers still want Consultants to be onsite for workshops or key deliverables.

  • They get to work on the latest and greatest technologies!!

Support Consultants work with lots of our customers (simultaneously) over many years and build trusted relationships with them – they get involved in proactive maintenance and upgrade projects (different to implementation projects) and are used to juggling lots of competing priorities. There is usually not a requirement to travel, so this suits people who want a long-term routine or are less able to travel.

  • They get to work on the latest and greatest technologies!!

Given this, some people are just more suited to Support and others are more suited to Implementations – where do you fit?

*Regardless of the role, you will be exposed to lots of learning and development opportunities including getting to work with the latest versions of S4!! 

SUPPORT

  • SAP FICO or
  • SAP SCM /Logistics - Plant Maintenance, or PP, or SD

*For these roles we’re looking for someone who wants to specifically work in our Support team, not someone who sees Support as a way to get in the door to Implementation Projects.

PROJECTS

  • SAP Production Planning (PP) – do you live and breathe PP?  Well, we have a terrific implementation for you to get stuck into – the solution design has been done, but we need you to step in from here, utilising your strong SAP PP config skills.
  • Sales & Distribution - SD - across the entire suite.
  • Finance - FICO
