Fabio Benasso advises Accenture's Chair & CEO on important topics including the company’s growth and investment strategy, business performance, organizational effectiveness and restructuring. He is a member of Accenture's Global Management Committee and president of Accenture in Italy.
Previously, Fabio was Accenture's market unit lead for ICEG (Italy, Central Europe and Greece). Prior to that, he led Accenture in Italy and the Eastern Europe practice since 2006, driving significant growth and development for Accenture's business.
During his more than 30-year career with Accenture, Fabio has held a variety of positions of increasing relevance. From 2004 to 2006, he was responsible for the Products market unit for IGEM (Italy, Greece, Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and the Middle East). And in 2000, he led the Finance & Performance Management service line.
Given Fabio's vast experience on large scale transformation programs across industries, he is a leader in the Italian business ecosystem. He currently serves on the boards of the most important business associations in Italy—Assolombarda, Confindustria and Confindustria Digitale—and is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy, where he is President of the Sustainability Committee. He is also a member of the Aspen Institute in Italy and of the Council for the United States and Italy. And he is on the Sounding Board of the Accenture Italian Foundation.
In addition, Fabio serves on the Board of his Alma Mater Ticinensis Foundation (University of Pavia), and for the Federation between Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa), Sant' Anna School (Pisa) and the University School for Advanced Studies IUSS (Pavia)—all of which rank highly among the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020 for Italy.
Fabio joined Accenture in 1984 and became a partner in 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Pavia.
