"I think it is important to find your own recipe to life, different things are important for different people."
Being a developer in IES, my work affects almost every inhabitant in Norway. Our projects span from digital tax returns to the centralization of medical records and have a huge impact on everyday life. As an AI specialist, I get involved when machine learning is utilized. I also have a role in our AI Community that involves contributing to building our internal AI competence. I am currently working on a project with the Norwegian Tax Administration, where I test the APIs for Tax Returns. I am also involved in using recurrent neural networks (RNN) to generate synthetic testing data to comply with GDPR.
Each day poses a new set of challenges for me. My tasks range from organizing AI-community events to the actual writing of machine learning algorithms. Working closely with developing our AI capabilities, I spend a lot of time contributing to our growth strategy. Most recently, I worked with picking out relevant courses and certifications for our AI curriculum.
Still, I find the opportunity to learn to be the best part of working here. I never stop to be amazed by the amount of knowledge my colleagues possess. On any particular day I learn something new, either from coworkers, challenges I encounter or through our training-program.
Working in Accenture is a lot of fun. Sure, I look forward to the weekend as everyone else, but as soon as it is Monday, I am eager to get back to work.

My advice is simple:
Be curious and ask questions. Be open of what you know and what you don’t. No one knows everything, but everyone knows something.
