As higher education institutes implement shared services, we are seeing a significant uptake in the ability to actually measure the value that’s being broad forward to the academic, clinical and research mission of institutions. The value that existing shared services are providing through HR, IT, Finance and Procurement investments is already notable. As we move forward to the new wave of shared services in the university environment, it’s becoming less about how HR services are providing value to staff and administration but more about how centralized services around faculty and the faculty experience can really transform the ability to pursue the core academic mission of the university.
