Your Job
As a Consulting Data Analyst in Accenture’s Amsterdam-based Cargo (travel) team, you will dive into the complex, dynamic and – most importantly – international world of Cargo transport. Our team’s unique approach combines strategic thinking with data-driven analytics and blends consulting professionals with seasoned Cargo experts.
- Team Accenture Cargo is a practice area within the Travel unit in Accenture Strategy & Consulting and a leading advisor to the global air freight and broader transportation industry. A dedicated Data Analytics and Business Intelligence team is responsible for providing leading industry databases and analytical tools to our clients, including comprehensive air and express cargo demand & supply databases, forecasts and optimization tools.
- Daily tasks You will be part of a team committed to expand our product portfolio and to further improve our already high level of data quality and customer service. You will closely cooperate with a Product Lead to facilitate the continued development of a specific product roadmap. You will be working with multiple and complex sources of information including immense databases. You will drive the adoption of new and exciting analytical techniques and explore applications to further develop our products and tools. Your day-to-day activities include conducting analysis, developing databases and analytical models, evaluating, and improving the methodology of our tools and products. As well as defining requirements for BI tools and liaising with clients on market trends and product usage.
- Our objective is to deliver exceptional customer service while constantly enhancing and innovating both existing and new products to continue our growth trajectory. You will assist top-tier clients (e.g. leading airlines and major airports) across the globe on a broad range of topics, including understanding market trends, defining a strategic direction, making network and fleet decisions or developing a sustainability roadmap.
As a Data Analyst you will develop new and further refine established state-of-the art data products and analytical tools that help our clients in their commercial decision-making related to network, fleet, revenue management and procurement. You will be developing your technical, analytical and communication skill set as well as your understanding of global aviation and transportation. The learning curve will be exciting and will enable you to build a foundation of skills and experience which will prepare you for more senior roles.

Qualifications
Here's what you'll need
- Master’s University degree with a strong academic record from a top tier institution in a quantitative field (e.g. Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Econometrics or other data related field)
- 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in Data Management or Data Analysis
- Proven proficiency in SQL and Database management
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative and conceptual skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply advanced analytical techniques and design analytical models
- Accurate, attention to detail oriented, and able to work in a structured and proactive way
- Willing to travel internationally
