The work
As businesses set ever more ambitious environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, their sustainability and technology strategies need to become more tightly aligned. One effective manner to improve the sustainability performance of a company is by embedding sustainability & efficiency principles, solutions, and practices into their IT landscape. From Enterprise Architecture, via Cloud setup, all the way to custom developed software. On each level, strategies can be applied to reduce the footprint of a company’s IT landscape.
To support our clients in their journey – in which sustainable business growth & sustainability really are coming together – Green IT and Sustainable Software Developers as well as Eco-design infused IT Architects are crucial in the realization of their sustainability ambitions.
People
Understand the needs and challenges of the customer around responsible technology and articulate them in a structured way to ensure both sustainable business growth & sustainability within their IT setup
Contribute to the development of Accenture assets (measurement tools, frameworks...)
You will work with both the dedicated Sustainability Practice within Technology, as well as the Embedded practice in Technology and the collogues from Strategy & Consulting in the
Sustainability domain
Processes
Co-construct the sustainability trajectory identification and prioritization of impact reduction levers, implementation of governance and KPIs
Technology
Convey deep understanding of technology platforms and architecture at intersection of client's industry to (re)define the client’s technology stack.
Assess the level of "sustainable maturity" of a customer's Information System
Measure/calculate the environmental footprint of an Information System on all its components (hosting, network, terminals)
Estimating the environmental footprint of an IT project on multiple levels
Edge-devices
Network setups
Cloud & other infrastructure components
Data
Analyze and assimilate customer and emission data as well as information from research or studies
Monitor the models for measuring the environmental footprint of an Information System

Qualifications
Here's what you'll need
Experience with Green Software, Green cloud (e.g., Microsoft Emissions Impact Dashboard) and Eco-design Principles
Experience as Data, IT and/or Enterprise architect, preferably in the ESG & Sustainability domain (e.g., AWS well-architected framework with focus on Sustainability Pillar)
Experience with ESG and/or Sustainability platforms
Experience with application and programming languages essential to cloud computing — ranging from the web front-end, to the server environment, to the back-end database, i.e., the full stack
5 - 10 work experience.
Bonus points if you have
Any (Technology) Sustainability certificates and degrees
Sustainability Coaching & Consulting Experience
