You will develop and own high-level guidance for safety risk control across Industry X that will be used globally to help identify, assess, and mitigate safety issues in IX products / solutions / opportunities. This role will involve working at the cutting edge of digital technology, applying your experience in solution/product safety compliance to shape solutions for our clients!
What this will involve:
Develop and own high-level guidance for safety risk control across Industry X including frameworks and training, where appropriate, that can be used globally to help identify, assess, and mitigate safety issues in IX products / solutions / opportunities
Lead an internal & external team of SMEs that provides expertise in opportunities when it is identified there is risk of harm related to product / solution regulatory compliance, serious bodily injury or death, or significant property damage with either project delivery &/or deliverables
Guide deal teams in the solutioning, including assessment of solution / opportunity novelty and level of safety risk, reliability testing, mitigation strategy and approval process for high-risk deals
Approve Design Validation, Solution Qualification, and Safety Risk Control Plans, including relevant APQPs (Advanced Product Quality Planning) as applicable
Act as a global safety risk ambassador and promote the implementation of a strong safety risk culture within our organization
Support the design and development of IX’s business strategy and its solutions in alignment with its safety culture & frameworks
Establish and manage tracking of ‘longer duration’ safety exposures and quality issues relating to solutions / opportunities (feeding back into future risk assessment models) - e.g. Where has IX provided hardware, where is IX taking any responsibility related to running client processes etc.
Assess and assist in implementation of technical / safety regulatory compliance frameworks
Connection point across relevant SME’s – IX Solution Leads, Industry Leads, Risk, Legal and Compliance, Insurance.
Develop and support issue resolution processes & procedures in relation to safety incidents (client, third-party, Accenture personnel, including contractors) involving Accenture solutions / opportunities
Lead internal investigations (when not personally involved in solution review) into safety matters and make remedial recommendations (in consultation with Legal and technical personnel
Qualifications
Here is what you need:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or similar technical area
Significant experience scoping and implementing complex multidisciplinary projects
Considerable experience formulating and overseeing plans for all aspects of product/solution safety regulations globally
Safety professional with experience in one or more of these areas: workplace safety, machinery safety, consumer product safety, product recalls, government safety regulations or industry safety standards
Familiar with formalized risk control plans and strategies, particularly safety risk control
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with c-suite executives and succeed in a multi-cultural, multi-functional environment, where market credibility is critical for success.
