Increasingly IT organizations need to deal with more complexity, more agility and a mix of old and new technologies. This requires a holistic, flexible approach and stable approach, which is the main role of the architect: creating and guarding the bigger picture so that business units can focus on business rather than need to worry about IT. Although 'Architects' sound like old grey man hiding in an ivory tower, this is no longer the case. Everybody is dealing with architecture - even when you don't consciously know it. Did you know that a lot of architecture happens in the Scrum teams these days? And when you read about blockchain, DevOps, security, scaling-up, Cloud, AI - what is the key success for this to actually to happen and add value? A future proof, decent and up-to-date architecture. Without a smooth road, it doesn't make sense to create a fast car. Without a decent architecture, innovation won't flourish. In other words: Architecture is the key to success!
We are looking for intern(s) (preferably) starting immediately, for a period of 6 months and 40 hours a week to join the team that makes it all possible: the Architecture team.
Your research will focus on exploring the impact and importance of 'Architecture'. Of course, Architecture is a wide phenomenon, and in our team we mainly focus on Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Integration Architecture, Data, Security and DevOps Architecture. By researching the different case studies currently used in organizations you explore patterns that prove to be successful. Together, we will develop a research question that suits you, your university or school and us.

Final year Bachelor or Master student with a specialization in technology or IT
Fluency in English and preferably in Dutch
