What is the Accenture Innovation Awards?

The Accenture Innovation Awards is a year-round program with multiple events that aims to connect innovators and to drive innovation together. This year-round program will ultimately culminate in the Innovation Summit. The Innovation Awards team consists of a Central Team and 8 Theme Teams.

As an intern of the Marketing and Communications team, you will play an active role in determining and executing the marketing and communication strategy with online and offline content throughout. There is a lot of freedom regarding your role. No day will be the same. Do you like to create mind-blowing content, handle our digital and social media channels, be creative and design, manage content, do internal communications, event communications OR do you feel like you can contribute in your own unique way? You are more than welcome to! Roles within the MarCom team are as follows:  

1. Digital & Social Media Manager

You are responsible for the Accenture Innovation Awards website & our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & LinkedIn). Within this role you will think about the social media strategy based on analytics, monitor channels daily, and publish content that has been created. For the website, you will make sure the website is up-to-date and be in contact with external web developer agency. You will be advised and supervised by the Digital Marketing Lead of Accenture the Netherlands. Having experience with Photoshop is a plus.

2. Innovation Journalist

You are involved in creating inspirational, attractive and interesting content about innovation in the Netherlands. This means that you initiate and produce interviews at events, articles, blogs and videos on a weekly basis. Therefore, we are looking for a writing talent with energy, creativity, and self-dependence. You are also responsible for the coordination of all content and thus the focal point between the central team and 8 theme teams. Knowledge about SEO and content management is a plus.

3. Creative Designer

You are responsible for all internal and external used visual content. This varies from thinking about how to brand the Innovation Awards, create our visual strategy and designing visuals. This role is broad, your creativity is a much-needed and valued skill. Knowledge of Photoshop and Indesign is a must.

4. Partner Communication

Your role involves helping our partners to create more “social” visibility through our Innovation Awards social channels. You will be actively in contact with partners in receiving, combining and creating partner-content. This content can vary from content about partner events and programs to theme based content. You’ll learn how (Accenture) can benefit from collaboration with partnerships and to find opportunities in every partnership in the field of Marketing Communication.


5. Event Communication Manager
You are responsible for developing the event communication strategy together with the events-team. The Accenture Innovation Awards program organizes multiple events throughout the year. You will be responsible for creating video-plans, photo-plans, social media-plans to capture the events for divers marketing purposes. Besides, you are responsible for developing the internal communications strategy: increase the awareness around the Innovation Awards, enthuse colleagues and stimulate them to engage. Your project management and writing skills will be off great value in this role.
