Job description

The Junior Innovation Challenge team is looking for interns! The Junior Innovation Challenge is an innovative project of Accenture and partners. The world is changing quickly, innovation is everywhere and good ideas are not reserved for adults, companies or institutions. The Junior Innovation Challenge is a national innovation contest organized to give young people (10-16 years old) the opportunity to think about innovation in the Netherlands. 

This year the Junior Innovation Challenge will be organized for the third time and we are growing bigger this time. So there is plenty of room for creativity and innovation! In a team of experienced consultants, partners and other companies, you will contribute to innovative education.

Are you the creative person who likes to make a big contribution to innovation in the Netherlands? Are you looking for an internship with a large consultancy organization, gaining experience, and get intensively supervised by experienced consultants? Then the Junior Innovation Challenge is for you! During and after the internship, there is the possibility of conducting your graduation research, making use of the knowledge within Accenture. It is an unique opportunity to experience what it is like to work for Accenture.

During your internship, you are contributing to the overall Accenture Junior Innovation Challenge program by focusing on one or more of the following aspects: 

  1. Partners: scanning and approaching innovative partners who want to contribute to the Junior Innovation Challenge;
  2. Corporate Challenges: Developing corporate challenges, in collaboration with consultants and partners, which address issues of their company. These challenges will be presented to groups of young people during the final; 
  3. Events: Organization of all events within the Accenture Junior Innovation Challenge program;
  4. Marketing: Promotion of the event, both internally and externally; 
  5. Communication: Coordinate and execute internal and external communication to jury, ambassadors, schools, participants, partners, press, etc.


  • Currently enrolled in a HBO, bachelor or masters program.  
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Good in working independently.
  • You are flexible, stress-proof and persuasive.
  • You have affinity with recruitment and building partnerships. 
  • You have knowledge and experience in deploying Social Media.

  • You will be co-responsible for the organization of the third Accenture Junior Innovation Challenge edition;

  • You will be intensively supervised by a team of experienced consultants and will become familiar with Accenture’s projected approach;

  • Experience within a large, international consulting firm. 
  • An internship fee and laptop; 

Additional information

  • Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension 
  • Number of hours per week: 40 
  • Location: ITO Tower, Gustav Mahlerplein 90 in Amsterdam 
  • Start date: immediately or in consultation
