The Energy Consumer is more connected than ever and has ever increasing expectations for Utility Retailers, while margins are under pressure through lower switching barriers and increased competition. In parallel Utility Retailer hold vast amounts of data, which is largely untapped to improve the consumer experience and business processes. 

As an Energy Data Analytics Consultant you support organizations in becoming more data- and analytics driven. You use your knowledge on data collection and –analysis to not only improve decision making in the organization but also improve the customer experience. You infuse data analytics in day-to-day operations of Utility Retailers, and preparing organizations towards more use of artificial intelligence. Based on your knowledge and experience, you will be advising our clients on improving the core processes around marketing, sales and service by the use of data analytics. This includes topics like: big data solutions, organizing data analysts and customer churn analysis.

Place in the organization

As Energy Data Analytics Consultant you work within the Resources practice. This practice is divided in the groups Energy, Utilities and Chemicals & Natural Resources. The Resources practice of Accenture helps large chemical, electric, oil and gas companies to be successful in the complex and volatile landscape in which they operate. 

Within the Resources practice we employ Management and Technology Consultants as well as specialists, who collaboratively help our clients with for example the transition to cleaner energy sources, developing new business models and optimizing our clients production processes and value chain. Furthermore our Resources professionals collaborate tightly with our professionals in Strategy, Digital, Technology and Operations. 


Qualifications  

  • Academic qualification, preferably economics, business or technical background;
  • Minimal of 3 years relevant work experience within a Utility or Telecommunications environment or specific data analytics within another industry. A few years of experience with project work and/or consultancy experience;
  • Knowledge of the relevant data analytics solutions and applications (for example Hadoop, Microsoft R, Cassandra, Qlik and Tableau);
  • Proficient skill in both Dutch and English language
