Our local difference

Responsible citizenship is always on the move. Stakeholders are becoming much more influential about their expectations of businesses—societal responsibility is right there as their number one priority. And while new technologies can deliver positive social impact, they can come with unintended consequences.

To make our contributions have an even bigger impact, we know there’s still work in progress. While we’ve set up many great partnerships, our impact can become even more instrumental by involving and collaborating with our clients on a larger scale. What’s more, by increasing the visibility of our activities, we can reach out to more partners and expand the programs.

Finally, getting all our employees on board is vital. Innovating responsibly is fundamental to our culture and we empower our people to advocate for the positive impact of innovation for our clients, people, partners and communities.

Inclusion

When it comes to inclusion, we already have a long history of changing the lives for many, independent of what they think, how they look or where they were born. As equals, anything is possible.Our yearly Getting to Equal report on inclusion and diversity underpins this belief. Our research shows that equality is a powerful multiplier of innovation and growth. Our diversity helps us bring unique perspectives and skills to the table. It drives creativity and inspires a sense of belonging. It’s why we champion a culture of equality. One where our people are empowered to be their true self, professionally and personally.

Travel

As a professional services company, the most significant aspect of our environmental footprint are the greenhouse gas emissions we generate through travel. For that reason, we offer a travel budget instead of a lease car, and for those who do need a car, we offer an affordable electric car. Also, we are actively involved in the ‘Anders Reizen’ coalition and take part in KLM's Corporate Biofuel Program.

Circularity

The power of innovative suppliers and partners can contribute to more circularity. For example, we collaborate with WasteWatchers and BuurtBuik to reduce our food waste. We’ve used the WasteWatchers app—which provides us insights into food waste —for over a year now. We've managed to reduce our waste from 30 to 10 percent, thereby contributing to our Circular and Zero Waste ambition.

Additionally, we collaborate with many large companies around the Amsterdam Zuidas to scale our zero-waste initiatives through the Green Business Club. Partnering up with other big players to combat and prevent environmental damage is one of our strengths, making it a successful approach for the coming years.
