What I Do

What I do ... It has been very diverse over the last 2.5 years. I started in the Business Process Outsourcing range, however Accenture in Manila acquired a part of the client’s work. My tasks were to map the process together with the customer and execute the information that was needed in Manila. It was exciting for me to go to the Accenture Delivery Centre in the Philippines for four weeks. I also worked on a project where we linked Analytics customer data and network data in order to conduct various analyses. I also supported different sales processes within the Communication, Media & Technology industry.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

I like to do a lot of sports; kickboxing, yoga, running and cycling. I always cycle with my colleagues, and because of our Accenture mind-set, this often becomes an exhausting day. Besides sports, I like to go out for dinner, out with friends, to concerts, and I read a lot.

A DAY IN MY LIFE

When I am working in a project for a client, I always travel by train. This means getting up earlier. After that, my day starts with answering emails, attending several meetings and processing various inputs. Additionally, although I plan my day ahead, there are always unexpected arrangements that need to be done.

When I am working on Business Development projects, I can cycle on my bike to the office in Amsterdam. A lot needs to be done during these periods. I am usually very busy due to the ad hoc requests, process feedbacks and assessments with colleagues.

My Advice

Accenture is a company where you can learn a lot in a short time. People are young, ambitious and open to help you. There are many opportunities in different directions. Before I began to work at Accenture, I never thought I would ever work in consulting, but I'm glad I still made this decision 2.5 years ago. So if you like to learn many new things and work at a fast pace with several customers, then Accenture might be the place for you.
