What I Do

Technology Consulting, focused on helping clients support their business strategies by delivering innovative technology solutions (especially software implementations). My Functional and technical speciality lies in Program Project Management.

Day In My Life
As a Consultant in Accenture, my goal is to consistently focus on adding significant value to my projects while actively building deeper skills for myself as well as others.

On a typical day, I arrive work at 8am, settle in to prepare my To-Do list for the day ensuring that I arranged the items according to their nature of urgency and importance. After this, I begin to catch up with all emails that may have dropped in my box while I snoozed away the night before. After taking actions on the emails where required, I begin to work on my project tasks according to the hierarchy I had set in my To-Do list.

Sometime between 1pm and 2pm, I would typically break for lunch in order to gulp in some more energy to continue the run for the rest of the day. After lunch, work on my project tasks continue until about 5:30pm or later most times. Essentially, the objective of the day would be to complete all tasks on my To-Do list before the day ends…all things being equal.

Outside the Office

Outside the office, I enjoy making jewellery (mostly beading), reading, singing, dancing and watching movies.

My Advice
Accenture provides a wealth of opportunities for an individual to broaden his/her knowledge in diverse industries and businesses. Due to the global nature of the firm, several resources are available to its workforce via a knowledge repository called ‘Knowledge Exchange (KX)”. In addition, the firm provides an environment which encourages collaboration amongst all of its employees in order to enable knowledge transfer as well as relationship building across board.

My advice would be that you take hold of these opportunities in order to become a well- rounded consulting professional.
