“Now you’re talking” 2 years marked on the NBA project, many client friends gained across the organisation and over $570k incremental revenue generated for Etisalat from the use of the application; and we are still going strong! My knowledge of the Telecoms industry is growing and I’m evolving into an NBA SME. Who knows, maybe it just might take me to other countries like the Italians who are currently on similar projects in UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Greece etc.

2012

“DRAFTED INTO THE NBA” The NBA project managed to draft me from the IT Post Merger Integration Plan project I was on to the NBA project at Etisalat (Next Best Action is an acronym for the Advanced Inbound Contact Management Solution, a tool for marketing customer centric offers to Telco customers via inbound/outbound customer interaction channels). The team was efficient, hardworking and interesting with a mix of Italian and Nigerian colleagues. The project was delivered on time and with very few issues - a first at the client! By the time the Italians went back to Milan, I had managed to rack up over N100,000 bill on pizza. Bravo! I was also promoted to Consultant 1 this year.

"LOST! EPISODE 1! My famous trip to St Charles on training. The trip was more famous for the journey than the actual training as my flight from Lagos had an emergency landing in the desert hinterland city of Tamarasset in Algeria. 19hrs passed in the scorching heat of the desert waiting for a replacement aircraft. You know you are in a reality TV series when all the food and drinks on the plane finish and even the clergy have to drink wine to stay hydrated! The training was a wonderful experience and a testament to the One Global Network core value of Accenture."

2010

“One in the bag” A year gone and 1 project in the bag! I had transformed from that fresh and green “monkey caging” newbie to an Oracle PL/SQL programming techie and Flexcube/ SAP BO guru thanks to the Oracle Flexcube implementation project I was staffed on. I was faced with the challenge of playing catch up with my super smart team mates because I joined the project shortly before the UAT phase but thanks to their help, support and guidance, I learnt all they knew and much more. My character slowly metamorphosed into the Accenture way. Even though I didn’t take notice, friends and family commented on how structured, analytical and solution oriented my thinking process was and my confident way of speaking (“fluffing”).

2009

“The Newbie” The year I joined Accenture. As a fresh graduate, I was contemplating furthering my education at a top school overseas however when I stepped into the Accenture office the first time; seeing the classy, energetic & smart faces and the embracing ambience and atmosphere of the office, I can remember saying to myself “This is It! I must work here”.
