John Walsh is a senior managing director at Accenture leading the Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) business across North America. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the full P&L, market growth, business strategy and end-to-end client management and delivery across the CMT industries.
Based in Silicon Valley, John also serves as office managing director for Accenture’s San Francisco office, driving Accenture’s NorCal market growth, developing talent, building community relations and promoting Accenture’s brand across Northern California.
With more than 29 years of experience, John completed two, four-year international assignments—one in Argentina and Canada—and served on Accenture’s CEO Leadership Council and Partner Advisory Council.
John serves as Chairman of the Board of the Churchill Club, one of Silicon Valley’s most prominent non-profit organizations. He also served on the board of Adchemy, an Accenture investment portfolio company, which he successfully sold to Walmart.com.
A graduate of Accenture’s Executive Management program at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland, John completed his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University.
John lives in Los Altos Hills California, with his wife and four daughters. During his spare time, he enjoys skiing, surfing and reading.
