What I Do
I am placed in the Siebel CRM team. I would say that it has helped me understand the way telecommunication systems work throughout Malaysia in ways that I would not have imagined. Our team develops systems that help the client simplify the way they capture enquiries, billings and customer management. Data are now more structured and can be accessed easily without the client having to scour through files in various departments.
Day In My Life
Depending on the project phase, my daily assignment would differ. It includes meeting up with clients to discuss project requirements and system offerings, performing systems integration between different teams in the project and applying our technical skills to deliver the best solution to the customer.
Outside the Office
Travelling, going to the gym, reading, playing games, futsal
Truth to be told, the learning curve is steep, timelines are usually tight, and the working hours are long. But all of this might be worth it in two to three years down the road.
