I’m currently working with one of the biggest multinational companies in the Oil & Gas industry. Each day revolves around connecting with project sponsors, global process architects and operational team leads to discuss the progress of the project. We conduct many of these meetings via teleconference using Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams. We also use tools like SharePoint and OneDrive for safe and secure file sharing, making collaborating easy and efficient.
To monitor deliverables across project units, I meet with the operational teams to ascertain that the appropriate solution embedment and support are performed post-implementation.
As change management deputy, I ensure we’re conveying the right messages to our stakeholders. To realize the clients’ objectives and satisfy their buy-in for the project, I communicate the project status and progress regularly, while addressing issues effectively.
Working with people from all over the world excites me. Collaborating with clients and teams from various backgrounds has expanded my understanding of culture and broadened my perspective in terms of ideation and problem-solving.
My team is made up of talented individuals who make work fun! They are all amazing people who encourage and inspire me to do better each time. They’re also supportive, reliable and see me through tough times. We have a safe working environment where I can raise any key concerns and escalations without feeling judged.
Furthermore, our strong chemistry lets us perform and deliver together as a team. As cheesy as it sounds, the bond I have with my team is like a well-oiled engine: all moving parts vibrating in synchronization, delivering maximum efficiency.
The three things I like most about Accenture are the learning opportunities, exposure to industry leaders and people. The training options here are overflowing. Since working here, I’ve boosted my stakeholder management, planning and communication skills. I’ve taken a few training programs that such as Design Thinking School, Storytelling Workshop and the five-day Consulting University, where I honed my core consulting skills and practiced Agile Ways of Working.
On my days off, I enjoy some serious me-time. Nothing beats curling up in a comfy bed with my Kindle, catching up on my reading. Apart from that, I travel. I love going abroad and soaking up an entirely foreign culture, meeting new people and exploring new places.
