I am primarily based at my client’s headquarters. I work alongside my main team as well as colleagues from various workstreams. I interact with the client regularly to discuss the status of deliverables against set timelines and bring up potential and recurring concerns that affect output delivery.
In addition to SAP BPC, we also use collaborative tools such as SharePoint, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
My current project is the most exciting so far. It is a complex undertaking involving integration across many different workstreams. There is a lot of collaboration across systems and people to deliver action items, making things compelling.
My team consists of people from many different professional and cultural backgrounds; apart from fellow Malaysians, I also work with people from India, Indonesia and the Philippines. We work hard to align our targets, schedules and performance styles to achieve our common goals, and take pleasure in learning about each other’s cultural practices and experiences.
My primary skill is in assisting clients with SAP BPC. I’ve further developed this skill through project experience; I learn from more experienced peers and supervisors, as well as from my own mistakes. I’ve also attended training courses hosted by Accenture such as SAP Finance Job Ready training and Team Lead training.
My favorite thing about Accenture is how it offers me many opportunities to grow, be it professionally or personally. There’s a wealth of project and skill-specific learning and development courses, not to mention personal development and leisure programs available to everyone.
In my spare time, I play e-sports like Defense of the Ancients (DotA), Counter Strike Global Offensive (CSGO), PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Apex Legends. I also love discovering new restaurants every now and then.
