APAC Legal Counsel, Ecosystems Legal – Resale
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the purchase and sale of third-party technology and related services to Accenture clients in Asia-Pacific countries.
- Review, draft and negotiate various resale- and agency-related agreements, taking the initiative to resolve issues raised by the business, our clients, or suppliers.
- Coordinate with fellow members of the Resale legal team to ensure a consistent approach for larger global deals.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the various considerations affecting resale (such as accounting, tax, trade compliance and local law) and work collaboratively with business and legal teams to shape deals for optimal results.
- Mentor and help train junior members of the team. People development is critical in this role.
- Aid in the development of training and knowledge transfer tools and materials.
- Support the firm’s compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.
- A positive attitude, the willingness to collaborate, excellent organizational skills, and analytical thinking will be keys to success for the candidate assuming this role.
Relationships:
Reports to: Agency Resale Global Legal Network Lead
Relationships: Technology Sales and Ecosystem business groups; GSL Legal teams, Sales and Consulting teams, and Buyside procurement; subject matter experts (e.g. Global Tax, Finance, Controllership); and outside law firms.
Qualifications:
Education: Local legal training and certification is required.
Work Experience:
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating contracts in a corporate or large law firm setting required.
- Experience with emerging technologies and offerings (e.g. cloud, security, AI) and related contracts and contract structures (e.g. various offerings on a subscription or provided as a service) is preferred.
- Experience in working in multiple countries is preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills and business and commercial acumen.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions and spot risks before they materialize.
Strong writing and negotiation skills.
