As an Associate Manager for Trade & Capacity Analytics, you will lead delivery team in delivering high-value analytics solutions for our air freight and logistics clients. You will oversee end-to-end delivery of data-driven projects, mentor team members, interact directly with clients and senior stakeholders, and contribute to product innovation and operational excellence. This role combines technical depth, people leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead analytics projects and support multiple client deliverables, ensuring high-quality delivery output and meeting delivery milestones
Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and senior analysts
Drive the design, implementation, and optimization of data solutions, models, and dashboards for cargo/trade forecasting and insights
Engage with clients and senior business stakeholders to gather requirements, present findings, and manage expectations
Ensure data quality, process standardization, and proactive problem solving across analytics workstreams
Collaborate with cross-location teams (Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur) and support continuous product enhancement
Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and best practices within the analytics team
Contribute to business development, proposal support, and internal capability building
Key Requirements
To qualify, candidates must have:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a quantitative field (e.g., information systems, computer sciences, data science, data engineering, econometrics, or similar)
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in data management, analytics, or business intelligence, including 2+ years in a people leadership or project management role
Demonstrated experience managing analytics/BI teams or cross-functional project teams
Advanced proficiency in SQL and database management; hands-on experience with analytical models and techniques
Strong client-facing, presentation, and communications skills
Proven ability to drive complex analytics projects from requirements to delivery under tight timelines
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities
Other Desired Skills:
Experience with Python, data science, or machine learning tools and techniques
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum or product development lifecycles
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) is an advantage
Exposure to the air cargo, logistics, or transportation sector is a plus
Other desired skills:
Knowledge of Python or machine learning techniques is a plus
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Experience with cloud-based data technologies is a plus
