About the role
What you need to know:
Monthly
- Extract commissions, service fee, and VEB operational fees
- Ensure correct calculation of withholding tax (WHT)
- Set distributor WHT rate in system based on distributor type and accumulative income
- Send information to bank system for payment approval
- File WHT with Revenue Department
- Generate paper WHT certificate and hand to agent in exchange for VAT invoice from them
- Keep records of all filings to Revenue Department and WHT certificates issued
Ad-hoc
- Report accumulative income and WHT for distributor upon request
Annual
- Aggregate monthly data to summarize annual income and WHT by distributor
- Send data to printing vendor, who will generate and send a tax document to the distributor for their personal tax returns
- Respond to inquiries from distributors about these tax documents
- File annual tax data with Revenue Department
- Keep records of all filings to Revenue Department and annual tax documents issued
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting.
Native or business level Thai and English required (read/written/spoken).
Strong knowledge and understanding of local Thai market tax.
More than 1 year of relevant Tax experience in Finance or Accounting, preferably in an insurance company.
Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail.
Basic computer skills with prior experience working with accounting software and MS Office i.e. Excel, Word and Powerpoint
