Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented User Access Management Specialist to join our finance application L2 support team in the insurance industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring that users have the appropriate access to applications and data, maintaining security protocols, and providing support for identity and access management (IAM) functions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in role management, application access, data entitlements, password resets, and IAM processes.
You will manage access control, troubleshoot user access issues, and collaborate with other teams to ensure security policies are followed. This role demands technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a keen understanding of security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Role Management: Define, create, and manage user roles to ensure appropriate access levels within the finance application.
- Application Access: Grant and revoke user access to the finance application, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Data Entitlements: Manage data access entitlements, ensuring that users have the necessary permissions to perform their job functions.
- Password Resets: Handle password reset requests and troubleshoot related issues to maintain user productivity and security.
- Identity Access Management (IAM): Implement and maintain IAM processes to ensure secure and efficient access management across the finance application. Maintain Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and other IAM policies
- Compliance: Ensure all access management activities comply with corporate policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support: Provide L2 support for user access issues, including troubleshooting and resolving access-related incidents and requests.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of access management procedures, policies, and user access records.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure cohesive and secure access management practices.
IAM System Support:
- Manage and support IAM systems, ensuring they operate smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Level 1 support for issue escalation and resolution.
User Access Management:
- Implement and manage user provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of user accounts and access rights.
3. System Integration:
- Ensure seamless integration of IAM with other enterprise systems (e.g., Active Directory, SSO, MFA, etc.).
- Assist with configuring and maintaining IAM integrations with various applications.
4.Security Compliance:
- Assist in ensuring compliance with security standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) related to access management.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
- Monitor and report on IAM security risks and recommend improvements.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and update technical documentation, including SOPs and access control guidelines.
- Generate regular reports on access management activities, highlighting any anomalies.
6. Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with other IT teams, security teams, and business units to understand access needs.
- Train and mentor junior staff or end users on IAM processes and tools.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in user access management, IAM, or related roles within the financial or insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and data entitlements.
- Proficiency with IAM tools and technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to access management.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with finance applications and systems.
- Certifications in IAM or related fields (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
- Certified in CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator
- Knowledge of insurance industry practices and regulations.
- Experience with audit and compliance processes related to access management.
- Experience with service management tools such as RemedyForce, ServiceNow, others
Additional skills:
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSMS, and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of audit processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience with financial products, applications, or regulatory reporting applications, such as Prophet, SAS, SunGL, OneStream, Oracle ERP, IFRS17, others.
Work Environment
This position will primarily involve working in an office setting with standard business hours. However, occasional off-hours support may be required to address urgent access issues or perform system maintenance.
