Job Description
This role is for a Consultant in the Public Service Industry team within Accenture Strategy & Consulting’s Global Network (GN) practice. GN is being grown aggressively to service overseas markets and has grown from startup mode to over 8500 consultants today.
The PS industry group works with the following sub industries:
- Education
- Revenue
- Social Services
- Post & Parcel
- Cities & Infrastructure
among others and other companies across the PS value chain, providing consulting services.
The Consultant will be responsible for helping in driving our clients’ requests and business planning efforts. Responsibilities may include:
- Project Delivery: Deliver projects for global clients by working together with medium to large size teams. Responsibilities may include strategy, implementation, process design and change management for specific modules.
- Business Development: Support efforts of global sales team to identify and win potential opportunities within the practice.
- Cloud Expertise: Provide expertise in Cloud Use-cases and cloud-based solutions for government agencies/ministries.
- Domain Development: Development of assets and methodologies, development of point-of-view, research or white papers, internal tools, or materials for use by larger community. Acquiring skills that have utility across industry groups.
Qualifications
Consulting Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Management Consulting
- Experience in the Public Service and Cloud Expertise domain is a must
Industry/ functional Skills
- Exposure to Global Public Service market trends, best practices, and clients is a bonus.
- The Right candidate must have analytical skills to provide clarity to complex issues and gather data-driven insights.
- Should have the ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex business problems and develop solutions
- The Right candidate must have in depth knowledge of cloud applications and use-cases for government agencies/ministries
- Cloud Assessment: Cloud readiness maturity assessment, Planning and assessment of cloud solutions/platforms, Application assessment and migration planning, Business case development, TCO comparisons and vendor evaluation
- Cloud Architecture: Develop cloud reference architecture, Define target state cloud architecture, Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.
- Cloud Deployment: Cloud application development, integration and security, and policy restrictions for government implementations, familiarity with Sovereign Cloud set up and scale
- Experience in Cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Foundry, Open Shift, Docker, etc., experience in Virtualization Platforms (e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Cloud Computing and Storage (AWS, Azure)
- Devops and Agile methodologies, processes and tools
- Workload Migration Automation Tools (Double-Take, Racemi, etc.)
- Cloud Management Platforms (vrealize, Gravitant, etc.)
- Infrastructure provisioning and management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
Technology Skills
- Exposure to data analytics tools, dashboarding tools (SAS) and/or cloud will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc. is desired.
- Cloud certifications such as AWS, CCP, AWS SAA, Azure or equivalent are a plus.
- Ability to engage in meaningful discussions around use of emerging tech.
