Job Description
This role is for a Consultant in the Public Service Industry team within Accenture Strategy & Consulting’s Global Network (GN) practice. GN is being grown aggressively to service overseas markets and has grown from startup mode to over 8500 consultants today.
The PS industry group works with the following sub industries:
- Revenue
- Social Services, Employment, Pensions, and Child welfare
- Education
- Post & Parcel
- Cities & Infrastructure
among others and other companies across the PS value chain, providing consulting services.
The Consultant will be responsible for helping in driving our clients’ requests and business planning efforts. Responsibilities may include:
- Project Delivery: Deliver projects for global clients by working together with medium to large size teams. Responsibilities may include strategy, implementation, process design and change management for specific modules.
- Business Development: Support efforts of global sales team to identify and win potential opportunities within the practice.
- Domain Development: Development of assets and methodologies, development of point-of-view, research or white papers, internal tools, or materials for use by larger community. Acquiring skills that have utility across industry groups.
Qualifications
Consulting Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Management Consulting
- Experience in the Public Service and Social Service sub-industry domain is a must
Industry/ functional Skills
- Exposure to Global Public Service market trends, best practices, and clients is a bonus.
- The Right candidate must have analytical skills to provide clarity to complex issues and gather data-driven insights.
- Should have the ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex business problems and develop solutions
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert and contribute to the proposal developments for Social Service segments.
- Able to leverage industry expertise in Social Service sub-industry including Employment, Pensions, Education and Child welfare, US Federal Funding Strategy
- Experience in domains of Government as a Platform, Digital Citizen Services
- Social welfare/ transformation skills (Integrated Eligibility, Child Welfare, Family welfare, Case management, etc.), Grant Management skills
Technology Skills
- Technology skills in CRM platforms (such as Salesforce, in areas of case management and citizen engagement) and Tech Architecture skills in areas of Government and Sovereign cloud
- Exposure to data analytics tools, dashboarding tools (SAS) and/or cloud, Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc. is desired.
- Ability to engage in meaningful discussions around use of emerging tech.
Client Stakeholder and Project Management
- Works on client site with minimal supervision in his/her area.
- Interacts with clients regularly and provides specialized inputs at a functional level.
- Ability to create research-based content, within quick turnaround times to meet deadlines.
Communication
- Has good written and verbal communication skills; can articulate and share points well.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Shares inputs in his/her area to support a discussion.
- Ability to deliver presentations when required to an audience or client on functional aspects of his or her domain.
- Strives to be part of the larger team and aligns with requirements of the team.
