About Seabury Cargo Advisory
Seabury Cargo Advisory is a practice area within the Travel unit in Accenture, and a leading advisor to the global air freight and broader transportation industry. The practice advises many of the world’s best performing airlines, shipping lines, integrators, forwarders, airports, leasing firms, etc. A dedicated data analytics and business intelligence team is responsible for providing leading industry databases and analytical tools to our clients, including comprehensive air and express cargo demand & supply databases, forecasts and (network/fleet) optimization tools. The data analytics team operates from offices in Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur and aims to provide top class customer service and continuously improve and innovate existing and new products to continue our steep growth curve.
About the function

We are looking for an exceptional and highly motivated data engineer to join our team in KL to further grow our capabilities and expand our presence in APAC. The KL team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing Seabury’s market intelligence products.
In this role you will focus on data engineering and dashboard development while delivering our suite of online dashboards. You will work in a multi-national, agile team which has responsibility to deliver across the whole data stack, with emphasis on developing the models and business logic that underpin our data visualizations.

Build data products, dashboards, and reporting solutions to serve our leading clients in the logistics industry
Together with your team, take responsibility of the end-to-end data solution design and development, including modelling, ETL, scripting, visualization, and testing
Data validation and quality assurance
Develop complex and highly optimized logic and models to meet business requirements
Grow your industry knowledge and ability to put the data into a real-world context
Work closely with your team and support your colleagues where required
Desired skills and experience:
Essential knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
Knowledge of SSAS models (Analysis Services) and ETL (SSIS, Azure Data Factory) concepts are preferred
Experience in optimizing query performance in stored procedures and views
Basic understanding of DAX, data warehousing
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
Highly self‐motivated, self‐directed, and attentive to detail.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
