Job Summary
As a Senior Developer in the GIPS - SBE Post Build sub-domain, you will be responsible for database administration, optimization, and troubleshooting across Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB environments. You will ensure database performance, security, and high availability, while also supporting post-build deployment, automation, and system tuning. Experience with Sybase is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and optimize Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB databases, ensuring performance and reliability.

Support database deployment, configuration, backup, and recovery strategies.

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production and post-build environments.

Develop and optimize SQL queries and Unix scripts for automation and performance tuning.

Ensure database security, compliance, and high availability.

Work with cross-functional teams to support application and middleware integrations.

Lead root cause analysis and capacity planning for database systems.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
6-9 years of experience in database administration and engineering.
Expertise in Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB (experience with Sybase is a plus).
Strong skills in SQL query optimization, Unix scripting, and performance tuning.
Experience with database security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and automate tasks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
