Job Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Android Developer to join our Digital Banking – Retail Banking team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Android Kotlin and Android Java development and a strong understanding of mobile application development lifecycles. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining mobile banking applications while ensuring high performance, security, and a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java for the Retail Banking platform.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product teams to create seamless mobile experiences.
Implement new features, optimize performance, and ensure app stability.
Integrate mobile applications with Oracle databases and backend services.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best coding practices.
Participate in Agile development processes, including Scrum meetings, sprints, and CI/CD pipelines.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
Work with Gradle, Maven, Firebase, and Fastlane for build automation and deployment.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in the banking sector.
Stay updated with the latest Android technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory:
Strong proficiency in Android Kotlin and Android Java.
Experience with Android SDK, Jetpack components, and REST APIs.
Familiarity with MVVM/MVC architectures and Android design patterns.
Knowledge of Git and version control systems
Good-to-Have:
Experience with Gradle, Maven, Firebase, Fastlane.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile builds.
Understanding of DevOps practices for mobile application deployment.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
