Domain Lead - Core Banking

JOB SUMMARY
As a Domain Lead for Core Banking, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the technology strategy for the bank’s core banking systems, ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives. Leading a dynamic team of over 100 professionals, including Tech Delivery Managers, Analysts, Developers, L3 Production Support, Release Managers, DevOps Engineers, and Environment Support Teams, you will oversee system implementations, quarterly releases, and Level 3 production support to drive operational excellence. Additionally, you will collaborate with Audit, Risk, and Compliance teams to maintain regulatory and security compliance, while fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders across IT, Operations, Business, and external solution providers. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing system stability, streamlining processes, and driving innovation within the Core Banking domain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- • Lead design, implementation, and optimization of the Silverlake SIBS system.
- • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- • Manage system analysis, development, and integration using RPG and COBOL on AS400/DB2.
- • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.
- • Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and mentoring to teams.
- • Oversee end-to-end SDLC, ensuring smooth deployment and support.
- • Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline. Additional professional or technical certifications are an advantage.
• Experience: At least 9 years of experience in Banking / Information Technology, with expertise in Core Banking applications, architecture, and databases.
• Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading teams or heading a functional unit, with strong planning, tracking, and monitoring skills.
• Technical Expertise: o Deep understanding of Core Banking systems and their application architecture.
o Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile methodologies.
o Knowledge of Silverlake’s banking software suite or AS400 (preferred but not mandatory).
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- o Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities to translate complex business needs into effective solutions.
- o Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing requirements, and meet critical milestones.
