Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior AS400 Developer to join our team specializing in the Cards domain, specifically within the Collections and Management Control (CMC) sub-domain. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in AS400 systems, COBOL, and CL programming, with hands-on experience in DB2 databases and knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Exposure to banking projects, especially within the collection's domain, will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and implement AS400-based applications using COBOL and CL.
Maintain and enhance existing systems to meet business requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve application and database issues on DB2.
Participate in all SDLC phases, from requirements gathering to deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system development and support.
(Optional) Work with collections tools like CACS and mainframe/Cardlink systems.
Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:
• Technical Expertise:
o AS400 system experience.
o Proficiency in COBOL and CL programming languages.
o Strong knowledge of DB2 databases.
• Experience:
o 3-6 years of hands-on experience as an AS400 Developer.
o Exposure to SDLC processes, especially in banking projects.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of collections domain products like CACS or similar tools.
• Experience with mainframe/Cardlink systems.
• Familiarity with RPG programming in combination with COBOL.
