Job Title: Junior L3 Support

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Application Maintenance/Production Support Engineer to join our Core Banking team within the Channels & EAI sub-domain. This role will involve providing L3 production support for critical banking applications running on the AS400 platform. You will be responsible for maintaining the stability of AS400 applications, automating deployment processes using ALDON, and supporting systems integral to payment processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with AS400/DB2, RPG, C, and Java, with a strong understanding of DevOps and payments systems in a banking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Support & Maintenance:
o Provide L3 support for AS400 banking applications, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
o Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to minimize downtime.
2. DevOps & Automation:
o Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate software deployments using ALDON on AS400.
o Help streamline deployment processes for faster and error-free releases.
3. Payments Systems Support:
o Maintain and troubleshoot payment systems to ensure they are secure and functional.
o Work with teams to resolve payment-related issues.
4. Incident Management:
o Investigate and fix incidents to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
o Participate in post-incident reviews and implement long-term solutions.
5. Collaboration & Communication:
o Work with internal teams to resolve issues and support business needs.
o Keep stakeholders informed about the status of incidents and releases.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
o Proficient in AS400 (iSeries) platform and DB2 database.
o Strong programming knowledge in RPG, C, and Java.
o Familiarity with DevOps practices and ALDON for automating software deployment on AS400.
o Experience with payment systems and understanding of transaction processing workflows.
Experience:
o 3-5 years of experience in production support and application maintenance.
o Experience in L3 support roles, particularly in banking applications and payment systems, is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with payment processing systems within the banking sector.
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc.) for AS400 environments.
Understanding of regulatory compliance related to banking and payment systems.
